Young (Emerging Voices Section)

Shuhan Zhang is a New York–based arts professional and researcher. She holds an MA in Visual Arts Administration from New York University and a BA in Art Theory from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. Her work focuses on digital art, cultural platforms, and the contemporary art market, examining how technology reshapes viewing practices, value production, and artistic circulation. She has worked with institutions including UCCA Center for Contemporary Art, Tank Shanghai, Eli Klein Gallery, and RAINRAIN Gallery. Her curatorial practice emphasizes experimental exhibition formats and fostering critical dialogue between artists, institutions, and audiences.

Yihan Yan is a designer and arts professional working at the intersection of arts management, museum practice, and cultural communication. She holds an MA in Visual Arts Administration from New York University and a BA in Jewelry Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. Her work focuses on audience experience, cultural narrative, and the role of design within art institutions. She has worked with institutions including Quzhou Museum and Zhejiang Museum of Natural History. Her practice emphasizes exhibition development, public-facing programming, and bridging visual awareness with strategic communication to support contemporary cultural ecosystems.

April Liu is a curator, researcher, and arts administrator working across contemporary art, post-colonial theory, and institutional critique. She holds an MA in Global Arts and Cultures from the Rhode Island School of Design and a BA in Cultural Management from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. April has worked at Christie’s, Pace Gallery, and leading art organizations in China and US, contributing to sales, exhibitions, research projects and development. Her current research explores how museums in East Asia negotiate identity, power, and postcolonial legacies. She lives and works between Providence and Hong Kong.

Luman Jiang is a curator and researcher working across contemporary art, curatorial practice, and cultural mediation. She holds an MA in Visual Arts Administration from New York University. She has participated in cross-regional projects with institutions including the Long Museum, Yuelai Art Museum, and The Parrot Art & Culture Development Foundation, contributing to exhibitions, research initiatives, and institutional collaboration. Her research and curatorial practice explore the affective and translational functions of art in contemporary culture, with particular attention to spirituality, identity, and narrative.
